“We are stoked to release a new member to the Kupu Spirits family, Island Amaro,” said Lead Distiller Nick Reiss. “With a recipe consisting primarily of Gentian root, wormwood, and fresh Maui oranges, we created an island-style bitters recipe to vibe with a classic Italian-style that has made these herbal liqueurs still so popular. In a familiar move, we decided to utilize one of our favorite botanicals to distill, red hibiscus. Briefly soaked in the base, this gives us that vibrant Magenta color that shines through, also adding some floral complexity to the aroma. I hope you enjoy it.”

Kupu Spirits Island Amaro is 60 proof, and offers tropical citrus and lush floral aroma, with hints of dark stone fruits. Bittersweet blood orange to taste, it finishes with a silky mouthfeel and a lingering but balanced bitterness derived from ancient roots and barks.
